Open Question: Serious Texting Addicted Girlfriend?
So this is a little strange, but here’s some background.

I’ve been dating my current girlfriend for quite a while now, with a few break ups for a few months each. Every time we break up for a few months, she literally has a new boyfriend within days of us breaking up.

That said; she lied about having boyfriends until a couple days ago when she finally admitted to having boyfriends retardedly quickly after our breakups.

Here’s my main question… is there a such thing as texting addiction? She texts first thing when she wakes up. Doesn’t even look at me or say good morning. Goes straight to her phone. After sex, she goes straight to her phone. After showers, after dinner, during dinner. She literally has her cellphone beside her plate at the dinner table, and answers it as soon she gets a text. My parents live in the country, and it’s an hour drive away. On the drive to visit them, we won’t say a single word, she’ll have her head buried and text the whole time. She text’s on dates, she always has the phone in her hand, and she’s buying a new $400+ cellphone every couple months.

Its ridiculous. She told me she only texts girls, but last night she told me she lied and text’s a lot of guys too.

Is she possibly setting up other relationships in case ours go wrong? That, in my opinion, is a mild form of cheating.

And I’m fairly certain she’s addicted to texting. I made her put her phone away last night, and after 10 minutes (literally) she said she started to feel “anxious” and “uneasy” and had to check it.
It’s unbelievable. It’s enough to make me break up with her.

What the hell is going on?
Oh, in case it matters, I am 20 years old and she just turned 19 a couple days ago. I know teens are more text-prone, but this is pushing it too far. Age doesn’t matter with this.
