Open Question: Will Tanf and foodstamps be reinstated after being taken away.?
My Granddaughter has not been taking care of her daughter for past year. I started keeping her in May last year,and in Oct she moved to another state and I required a Poa for oct to jan. The Bio Grandma and I were rotating care.. She came back in Nov and applied for Tanf and food stamps while livnig with 8 people one her bf. We were still keeping baby. She got mad at me in Feb, stopped me from getting baby. So the Bio Grandma has been keeping baby, She told biograndma she could use her poa -to get wic for baby. So she did get wic for baby. Here where drama .
She got notified her benefits stopped because she do not have child. All of sudden she has kept the child for 1 week now. Is Pregnant now went down to dcf to apply for preg medicaid. She already has regular medcaid and baby is on medcaid too.
She want to take back poa so she hopes to get back her tanf and larger food stamps to feed all of her roomates, plus buy cig and pot. and pay her cellphone bill. WIll they give it back after howlong.
SHe claims she now has to keep the baby she had not wanted to care for past year. Dcf was called in past nothing done. It is basically she had abandom the baby. Her first priority is partying, tatooes, getting high on pot, Will they give her back assistance or charge with fraud.
