Open Question: How does my friend get rid of his voice echo on Xbox Live?
I have a friend who i always play with on Xbox Live. He has always had this echo where everyone else echoes in the party. He himself doesn’t not echo, and he cannot hear anyone else echo. We tried using Major Nelson’s idea by cleaning the plug with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol, but that did not help. He also tried using different controllers and different mics. His mic broke last night, and he was using a cell phone headset. he couldn’t talk with the cell phone headset, but could hear us. even WITH the cell phone headset, he still had the echo. That means it HAS to be his Xbox Live connection. What can he do?

I have a netbook with the following specs:
CPU: 300MHz
RAM: 128MB
HDD: 2GB
My current OS on that netbook is – believe it or not – not compatible with Internet! Yes, I’m not making this up! It’s some kind of obscure OS that was designed for cell phones, and it can’t connect to the Internet.
The only cost-effective way to get around this without spending a hundred bucks on a new OS is to get Linux, so, for the first time, I am in the market for a Linux operating system.
What type of Linux OS should I get that would suit these specs?
