Open Question: How can I get my parents to give me my phone back?
Before you all go on saying, “Wow. Typical whinny teen, learn your lesson, stop complaining, back in my day we had no cellular devices…” Save it. Not the answer I’m looking for, thanks.

Okay.
For the past few years, I’ve been constantly asking my parents for a phone. They always said No, You don’t need one, I never had one, etc.

You see, they’re really, REALLY old fashioned, strict, and basically irritatingly always striving to be dominant. It’s ridiculous, anyway.

Last year, they finally bought in. I was etastic. I had it for like, 2 months; no problems. Then, one night at like 3 am, I was talking with my mom downstairs, and my phone rang. Loud. From up stairs. Totally ticked off and nosy, my mom tells me to bring it to her so she can see who is calling me at this time. And I, not wanting her to like, call back and throw a b*tch fit to who ever that was, deleted the call log. She saw that I deleted it, got all ticked off and pissy and started yelling and what not, and took it away.

The next day, she gets even worse. She went through all my stuff, and got especially angry at this one voicemail my friend left, and he was just joking around, cause I always tell him this; he was like cursing like crazy, cause that’s just who he is, which made my mom like, ape sh*t, and then he (again, referring to what I said before), said that he was gonna take a crap on my mom. I know that sounds bad, but he was just kidding, and I always tell him that, and he sort of had a reason to, but that’s a totally different thing.

Anyway, so my mom is all pissed at me for like months, and I don’t have my phone. She went so far with the whole crapping thing, that she got the cops involved cause she said it was a threat. >__>

ANYWAY, after that, summer cameeee. (:
Me and my brother and sister were going to conneticut, and my dad was driving us.
Its a long 70 hour trip in the car, so my dad gave me my phone for the trip. Everything went fine, except for the ride back. Instead of using my phone for internet at this store, I used my dad’s; and I went on myspace. I guess he went on the history later and got onto my account. He went through alot of stuff, and he was all pissed at my language and my friends’ language; and he went through me and my boyfriends messages. x__x
So, I got it taken away again.

After a long, dreadful summer, school starts again; this year. About 2 weeks in, my dad gives me my phone back again. Except he tells me not to communicate with anyone not in my family, and if I do, he needs to check who it is I’m talking to; and needs to ‘approve of them’.
I thought it was pathetic. How am I supposed to have a phone with unlimited everything, and only talk to my family? It was so ridiculous. I talked to people they knew, and so I thought it was okay. And then, I my mom asked me who I was texting one day. I told her it was my friend Nour. Then my mom goes and tells my dad, who flips out and says “WHY ARE YOU TEXTING THIS BOY? WHAT DID I TELL YOU!?” And he never told me anything about texting him, infact, he asked me during summer who was texting and I told him it was Nour, and he was fine with it. So he goes ape sh*t, and takes away my phone.

Again.

So, I’m like 5 months later from this point.
How do you think I could get my phone back?
Even though I bet none of you read like the entire desc., I need to add something.

These aren’t ordinary parents, they’re kind of suffocating parents; if you know what I mean. They don’t care if I’m depressed or upset, they think it’s a joke; or they think it’s a plus for them, cause they think that their disciplining me? Anyway, they’re not the type you sit down with and talk about your feelings with, they don’t care what i have to say. So yah.
